Accessible Housing
Who We Serve
Bethlehem Way Family Services welcomes applications from a variety of populations, including:
Seniors (55+)
Older adults seeking peaceful, stable, and accessible supportive housing that promotes independence and community connection.
Veterans
Military veterans and transitioning service members looking for structured shared living, peer support, and trauma-informed care.
Individuals with Disabilities
Community members with physical, developmental, or emotional disabilities seeking an accessible, supportive living environment.
Fixed-Income Residents
Individuals receiving SSI, SSDI, pensions, or limited fixed income in search of truly affordable, dignified shared housing.
Working Adults
Employed adults needing an affordable, stable residence that enables them to save money, build credit, and achieve independence.
Families
Households and working families striving for a stable, safe haven to raise children and break cycles of housing instability.
Other Qualifying Community Members
Residents transitioning from transitional housing, treatment completion, or experiencing immediate housing insecurity.

Program Criteria
General Qualifications & Resident Readiness
Our housing programs are structured to create a safe, supportive, and restorative environment for every resident. While specific guidelines depend on the individual program, applicants generally meet the following criteria:
Income & Financial Verification
Proof of income, employment, pension, or eligible public benefits (such as SSI, SSDI, VA pension, or housing vouchers) sufficient to cover affordable program fees.
Commitment to Safe Community Living
Willingness to participate in a peaceful, respectful, and drug-and-alcohol-free shared living environment that protects the well-being of all housemates.
Active Engagement in Supportive Goals
A desire to work alongside our care coordinators, life-skills coaches, and wellness specialists to achieve personal stability and long-term independence.

How the Intake Process Works
We strive to make applying as clear, dignified, and prompt as possible for prospective residents and their advocates.
Initial Inquiry & Pre-Screening
Contact our intake coordinators by phone, email, or our online form to discuss housing availability and initial qualification.
Documentation & Verification
Submit standard identification, proof of income or benefits (e.g. SSI/SSDI/pay stubs), and relevant service or medical records.
Consultation & Placement Plan
Meet with an intake specialist for an in-person or virtual consultation to align living preferences, supportive goals, and room assignments.
Welcome & Ongoing Support
Move into a clean, fully furnished, dignified residence with immediate access to life-skills coaching, wellness care, and community resources.

For Grant Makers, Government Agencies & Case Managers
